  JONATHAN ADVENTURE SAILING

Explore Antarctica Eco-Friendly

Why exploring Antarctica on a sailboat is the best Eco-Friendly way
  • Smaller carbon footprint. Low diesel consomption, SY Jonathan gets all its energy from 3 solar panels and one wind generator.
  • Reduced possible impact the environment (vegetation and invertebrates) due to walking while visiting sites. We have a maximum 7 people onboard.
  • Smaller disturbance of wildlife. On Jonathan, only 6 persons at a time will go on a site visit.
  • Smaller impact on marine life and water ecosystems during zodiac cruise. On Jonathan, we have a small zodiac, 5 Hp outbard.
