Touroperators

Many of our trips are set up in co-operation with small tour operators. They usually have their own objectives like, hiking, sailing, wildlife, photography etc.

Since we now use three boats we can cater for many different interests.

  • Jonathan III can have 5 guests alongside the skipper and crew and is used for smaller groups with a specific interest. Jonathan III has sailed the Arctic for 8 years now and for its size, it is the strongest and most suitable boat to sail in the High Arctic. With its centreboard up it can go almost anywhere.

  • Jonathan IV can have a maximum of 10 guests. An extra guide is sometimes necessary depending on the nature of the trip. The sailing will usually be done by the skipper and crew although sailors in the group are encouraged to take part in the sailing / watches if they wish. Jonathan IV is exceptionally suitable for longer trips. There is a huge storage capacity and with the water maker and large diesel tanks we can go a long way. He is a former Challenge boat and a joy to sail. In 2009 and 2011 we finished the season with sailing trips from Svalbard to Greenland and across to Iceland.

  • Anne Margaretha can have 11 guests and is a bit more luxurious and spacious than Jonathan IV. There will be a crew of 3. The boat has 2 Zodiacs ready to go, so the full group can go out at the same time. Anne Margaretha is a very strong boat that can handle some ice. Next to the spacious interior she has a lot of deck space making here ideal for photo and filming trips. With the 2 Zodiacs you will be ready to go on reccy trips to check out the wildlife etc.

Give us an idea of what you would like to organize and for what kind of group so we can inform you about the possibilities.

With tour operators we usually work out a special deal for it saves us all the work that needs to be done to get a group together and organize their travel etc.
