In short we work like this. We work with enterprising people who want to realize special projects. Are you a scientist with a project in Greenland, television crew for
a travel program, a nature photographer looking for Narwhals, sailors with a special destination, a
mountain climber with a transport problem to a remote area? Make us familiar with your plans and we will find
out what we can do for you.

We are chartering Jonathan like this for many years and are especially active in the high latitudes, like northern Norway, Spitsbergen, Greenland, and Iceland. Because we live in Spitsbergen and northern Norway we know this area well and know our way to special locations. Because of our relations we can also arrange combinations with other disciplines. But we are not limited to Arctic waters. Any interesting project might trigger us!

For expeditions in Spitsbergen and Greenland you often need licenses. We can take care of all this paper work
on your behalf. They must be arranged well in advance
of the planned expedition.

We work with a daily rate for Jonathan and engine hours. Depending on the sailing area there might delays in the schedule. Specially when working in ice filled waters.

The boat has been specially build and equipped for sailing in Arctic waters. The ice- strengthened hull has proved itself in heavy ice conditions and is well insolated to be warm, dry and comfortable inside.

Depending on the experience of the expedition members it can be good to have a guide with the project. A guide does not only have a lot of knowledge and experience in the area but will always be able to go ashore with the expedition. A must in area’s with
polar bears.

With Jonathan comes a Zodiac for transport ashore. For some expeditions it can be
good to take a bigger and faster boat along. For fast and long distance travel like with
film crews.

Costs per day approximately 8500 NOK (excl. fuel, excluding provisioning, drinks, harbour fees etc.)

Although there is a program for 2008, you can always request information to rent the entire ship. Also for 2009 or later.
